Signs You Might Need 24-Hour Emergency AC Service
When the summer heat hits, you don’t want to be without a working air conditioning unit in your home, even for just a few days! That’s why it’s important to be aware of symptoms that can signal your unit needs to be repaired. Having your unit inspected at the first signs of trouble can help prevent a complete break down later. Some symptoms that can indicate you need emergency repair include:
- Lack of cold air: Perhaps the most noticeable issue with your system is a lack of cold air. If you notice an absence of cool air -- even after the thermostat is set to the lowest setting -- it can be a big red flag that your unit needs repairs. You should also seek immediate repairs if your system is only cooling your house intermittently, or if you are unable to control the climate. Professionals can inspect the system to determine the cause.
- Cold air not blowing out of vents: Is your air conditioner running but the cold air isn’t blowing out of the vents properly? This can cause your system to work harder than it needs to in order to cool your home. This will cause your utility bills to increase, and your home might still not reach the desired temperature. If you notice this issue, you should seek professional services.
- Uneven cooling: If you notice some areas or certain rooms of your house are warmer than others, it can be caused by a malfunctioning thermostat. Your system should be inspected by a professional.
- Moisture: If you notice moisture leaking from your system it can indicate that the drain tube is blocked or broken. You need to call a professional to inspect the issue because the issue could also be a refrigerant leak, which can cause health problems.
At Air Now, we’re homeowners too so we understand the struggle of being without AC. That’s why we’re available for 24-hour emergency air conditioning services. When you need us most, we’re there to keep your home cool and comfortable.

Air Duct Repairs and Cleaning

We can make sure every room stays cool and energy costs are kept low with our air duct repair and air duct installation services.
It’s also very important to clear the air in your home from contaminants. Calling an expert to do a duct cleaning will give you confidence the air you breathe will be free of dust and spores. Don’t put anybody inside at risk of sinus infections, respiratory infections, allergy attacks or asthma attacks. Protect the health of all those who share your home, and rest easy knowing they’re breathing good-quality air

I arrived to find the AC was set at 76/76. The filter was just recently replaced by the customer. The UV lamp has not been replaced since (2019). I advised the customer of drain treatment strip for the pan(condensation reservoir). He wanted the lamp replacement and strip added. I did so. I also suggested he sign up for a service agreement today and save money. I explained that we would see him semi annually and discount accessories etc. There are no trip/visit charges with the agreement Mon-Fri. The condenser unit is operating normally. I noticed a buzzing sound from the disconnect box beside the unit. I opened it to find there I was a bad disconnect breaker in the power supply beside the unit. The customer stated if he had to have it he would have it replaced, but he stated to bypass it today. He will use the main breaker. I marked the box accordingly. Wire nutted both high voltage legs for the power supply to unit. The capacitor tested good at 70/5 uf. I advised the customer and show

Pumped down the system, pressurized the line set and evaporator coil to 550 psi at 12:31 and at 1:35 the pressure was 563. Leak checked the condenser due to oil residue around the suction line service valve. Did not find a leak at any of the connections. Found the condenser coil was impacted on one side and rinsed out the condensing coil. Released the nitrogen, opened the valves, and operated the system. Added four pounds of refrigerant to the system to get a temperature split 75.3/56.8, pressures 137.5/292.6; SLT 61.4; LLT 80.7; superheat 13.4; subcool 13.6.
